# Jev Rank on TREMOR News Scores Every Headline Against What You Want to Read

I added Jev Rank to the news section on TREMOR. It scores every headline from 0 to 100 against what you want to read, and sorts the page by that score. About 800 headlines from 64 feeds, ranked in under 2 seconds.

There are three ways to use it.

- **Run Jev Rank**: scores the headlines against your interests, a default set until you change it.

- **Edit interests**: lets you set your own topics and example headlines, saved in your browser. The detailed one.

- **Focus box**: takes a topic, or a few sentences in plain words, typed or dictated, and ranks against that instead. For quick stuff.

I use the focus box for quick stuff ... and the Edit interests for creating more permanent interest profiles .. multiple profiles, saved as files, that I load based on the work I am doing.

Jev is TypeSafe's new System One model. You give it some context and a set of questions, and each answer comes back as numbers. A question can ask it to pick one option from a list, to rate something against levels you describe, or to say how likely a statement is to be true. I use the last kind: one yes or no question per headline, would this reader want to read it, and the probability of yes becomes the score.

It is free to use. No signup.

## What it covers and how to work with it

- **Sources**: 64 feeds from about 50 publishers, including Reuters, Bloomberg, Financial Times, CNBC, AP, BBC, Economic Times, LiveMint, Business Standard, the Fed, ECB, BIS and IMF.

- **Sections**: US Markets, Global Finance, India, World, Central Banks, Research, Tech, AI and Tech News, and Cyber Security. Jev ranks whichever section and time window you are on.

- **Focus box**: it replaces your interests for that ranking. Back to my interests returns to them in one click. Jev reads the words literally, so a specific focus gives a tighter list.

- **Scores**: kept for the session. Switching between your interests and a focus you already ran is instant.

- **Refresh**: pulls every feed again. Only the new headlines get scored, and the rest keep their scores. Reloading the browser tab clears the scores, so press Run Jev Rank again.
