Insider trading disclosures for Indian listed companies, on Vigil, updated four times a day. You can pull up any company and see whether the people inside it have been buying or selling, when they did it, how much, and what it did to their shareholding. These disclosures are a legal requirement. Under SEBI's Prohibition of Insider Trading regulations, promoters, the promoter group, directors, key managerial personnel and designated employees have to report their trades once the value crosses a threshold in a quarter, and the exchange publishes what comes in, so each row you see carries a date and a named person against it, along with the holding before and after. There are around 38,000 disclosures across about 1,500 companies going back to early 2024, and if you would rather work offline the whole table downloads as CSV, Parquet or SQLite. Promoters, Promoter and Promoter Group all appear separately, Key Managerial Personnel and KMP both show up, and around one in six rows carry no category at all.
