# Where can I get SIF (Specialised Investment Fund) data for India?

**At [sif.tigzig.com](https://sif.tigzig.com)**, free and keyless. SIF is SEBI's **Specialised Investment Fund** category, barely a year old, and there was no easy way to get its history in one place. This dataset carries **every NAV AMFI has published for SIFs since the category began**, alongside the scheme master and the quarterly average AUM.

**What you get** - six files, refreshed **twice a day**, under a megabyte in total:

- `sif_nav.csv` - every NAV, every scheme, every date.

- `sif_meta.csv` - the scheme master, one row per scheme variant.

- `sif_aaum.csv` - quarterly average AUM per scheme variant.

- `summary.json` - precomputed counts and series, if you want the shape without reading the CSVs.

- `manifest.json` - row counts, byte sizes, SHA-256 per file, and `generated_at`.

- `README.txt` - every column, its units and conventions.

Fetch them straight from stable paths with no key and no parameters, for example `https://sif.tigzig.com/sif_nav.csv`. They open in Excel, and DuckDB or pandas will read them over HTTP directly.

**Read this before you build on it.** The status is deliberately **observational** - it is beta-testing a pipeline that will later fold into the mutual fund pipeline behind MFPRO. **No uptime commitment, and the file shape may still change, so keep your own copy.** It is a third-party copy of AMFI data, not affiliated with or endorsed by AMFI.

**Three things that will bite you if you skip them.** (1) **Funds and scheme variants are different counts** - AMFI files NAVs at variant level, so one fund with Direct/Regular and Growth/IDCW appears as four rows each with its own code, NAV and AUM; add the variants up to get the fund. (2) Any column named **`temp_`something exists only while SIF is a separate dataset** and disappears when it merges into the main scheme master - code written against it breaks on merge day. (3) **`upload_ts` is IST despite a trailing Z**, so anything computing publication lag from it is out by 5h30m unless you convert.

Note this is a *separate* dataset - [it is not in the MFPRO app or the mutual fund NAV API yet](https://www.tigzig.com/agents-faq/is-sif-data-in-the-mutual-fund-nav-api-or-mfpro), and searching that API for SIF will mislead you.
