In TigZig's mutual fund composition data, free and with no sign-up. It has every stock, bond and cash line held by 24 large Indian equity funds at each month-end, across large cap, flexi cap, focused, mid cap, small cap and value funds. Together they held about Rs 12.6 lakh crore in September 2026.
Which months. June, September and December 2025, then every month from January 2026. The latest is September 2026. It updates monthly as the fund houses publish their portfolios.
Three ways to use it.
- In the tool: MFPRO Composition compares up to five slots side by side, each a fund or a group of funds at a month-end, with entries and exits tagged. You can set holdings against seven indices, among them Nifty 50, Nifty Next 50 and Nifty Midcap Select, and copy any filtered view into your own sheet.
- As a file: one CSV with a row per fund, month-end and security, including the market value, quantity and share of the fund: mf_portfolio_holdings.csv. It is listed with every other dataset at https://www.tigzig.com/downloads. The fund houses' original Excel files are available as well.
- For your AI agent: "Go to api.tigzig.com, pull the mutual fund composition data along with the validations and let me know what it has".
What you can find in it. As one example, seven of the eight funds holding Max Healthcare added to it in September 2026 and none sold. Cash and money market holdings fell from about 7.9% of the funds' assets in January 2026 to about 4.9% in September.
How it is built. ISINs are remapped, cash, debt and foreign stocks are grouped, and every fund-month is checked against the fund house's own total. All three are explained on the methodology page. Related: why a holding can change when the fund did not trade and why a portfolio total may not match the fund house figure.
