Can I get an AI technical analysis report in Excel without an API key?

Yes. TigZig's free Technical Analysis workbook runs in Excel with xlwings Lite (Python in Excel). You type a Yahoo Finance symbol and get back a PDF and an HTML report with the analysis, charts and tables. No API key is needed.

Two buttons on the MASTER sheet. The first pulls daily and weekly prices, computes the indicators and draws the charts in Python inside Excel. The second sends them to TigZig's public Technical Analysis API, which writes the report. It takes about a minute, and the report links appear on the MASTER sheet.

Which model writes it. Claude Sonnet 5.5 by default. Pick Claude Opus 5.5 in the model cell if you prefer.

The limit: 20 reports a day per IP address.

What it covers. Any Yahoo Finance symbol: stocks, indices, crypto, commodities and FX. Date ranges default to the last 6 months for the daily view and 3 years for the weekly view. The report is for education and is not investment advice.

Get it: the workbook and a how-to are on https://www.tigzig.com/technical-analysis-report, and the workbook's HOW_IT_WORKS sheet explains each step. Outside Excel, the same report is on QDESK and as an API and MCP server: https://www.tigzig.com/agents-faq/open-source-technical-analysis-api-and-mcp-server.
