How do I get earnings dates and analyst price targets into Excel or Google Sheets for free?

Use TigZig's free YFIN API. It serves Yahoo Finance data through the open-source yfinance library, with no key and no sign-up. Three endpoints cover earnings season. Each takes a comma-separated list of tickers.

There are also endpoints for estimates, quarterly financials, prices and a detailed info call with 150+ data points. Most of them return a plain CSV table when you add format=csv.

Which route to use.

The easiest start is to point your AI agent at the API docs and have it set up the Power Query, Apps Script or formula for you. For Python in Excel, a ready tracker template built with xlwings Lite pulls the calendar and prices: https://www.tigzig.com/post/sp500-excel-tracker-xlwings-yfin-aug2026.

If a call fails, read the response body. Many errors carry a hint there: https://www.tigzig.com/post/tigzig-api-error-hints-read-the-body-sep2026.
