Use Jev Rank on the News tab of TREMOR. It scores every headline from 0 to 100 against what you want to read and sorts the page by that score. About 800 headlines from 64 feeds rank in under 2 seconds. It is free and needs no signup.
Three ways to use it:
- Run Jev Rank scores the headlines against your interests. A default set applies until you change it.
- Edit interests sets your own topics, the things you do not want, and example headlines you would and would not open. It is saved in your browser. This is the detailed one, for a standing profile.
- The focus box takes a topic or a few sentences in plain words, typed or dictated, and ranks against that alone. Back to my interests returns to your profile in one click. Jev reads the words literally, so a specific focus gives a tighter list.
What it ranks. 64 feeds from about 50 publishers, including Reuters, Bloomberg, the Financial Times, CNBC, AP, the BBC, the Economic Times, LiveMint, Business Standard, the Fed, the ECB, the BIS and the IMF. Sections cover US Markets, Global Finance, India, World, Central Banks, Research, Tech, AI and Tech News, and Cyber Security. Jev ranks whichever section and time window you have open.
How the score works. Jev is TypeSafe's System One model. Its answers come back as numbers. Each headline goes in as one yes or no question: would this reader want to read it? The probability of yes becomes the score.
Session behaviour. Scores stay for the session, so switching between your interests and a focus you already ran is instant. Refresh pulls every feed again and scores only the new headlines. Reloading the browser tab clears the scores, so press Run Jev Rank again.
