SIFs Are Now in the Same API and Data Files as Indian Mutual Funds: NAV History and Scheme Details for Both
Published: October 22, 2026
SIFs (Specialized Investment Funds) are now in the same API and the same data files as Indian mutual funds. NAV history and scheme details for both, through the API, the MCP server or a full data download.
Mutual fund NAV goes back to April 2006 and covers about 8,600 active schemes. SIF NAV goes back to October 2025, when the category started, and covers 132 schemes.
Scheme details have 61 fields for each scheme. The ones people ask about most are the fund manager, the benchmark, the riskometer (a risk band for SIFs), and TER and BER. Mutual funds also have the latest AUM, one day behind.

Some notes from the docs, for quick reference
Every file has a last column called source, with MF or SIF. SIF rows come after the mutual funds. Filter on source before you total anything across schemes.
A SIF scheme code is the number in AMFI's SIF code, so SIF-120 is 120. The API takes 120, SIF-120 or the SIF ISIN. Mutual fund codes start at 100027, so the two never clash.
Search covers mutual funds by default. Add source=sif for SIFs only, or source=all for both.
Latest AUM is AMFI's daily figure for the whole fund across all plans. It is there for mutual funds and blank for SIFs. Quarterly average AUM is a different number, averaged over the quarter for each plan, and the scheme master file has it for both. The two should not be compared.
Mutual funds file a riskometer, from Low to Very High. SIFs file a risk band from 1 to 5. Both are in the same column, so read them separately.
The separate SIF pipeline and its page continue as before at sif.tigzig.com.
